It has been hosting international motorsport events since 1975 and is known for its challenging layout, including a combination of high-speed straightaways and tight hairpin turns. The Long Beach track is 3.167 km in length and features 11 turns. It runs through the streets of downtown Long Beach and alongside the harbour, providing a scenic backdrop for the race. The circuit is well known for its high-speed, high-risk sections, including the long Shoreline Drive straightaway and the tight hairpin turn at the end of Seaside Way.
