The DEKRA Lausitzring is a race track located near Klettwitz (a civil parish of Schipkau, Oberspreewald-Lausitz district) in the state of Brandenburg in northeast Germany, near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic. It was originally named Lausitzring as it is located in the region the Germans call Lausitz, but was renamed “EuroSpeedway Lausitz” for better international communication from 2000 to 2010. The EuroSpeedway has been in use for motor racing since 2000. Among other series, DTM and Superbike World Championship take place there annually.

Thierry:

Another track that I raced at last year, but I am really happy to be returning to the Lausitzring. I think this is not only a great-looking track, with half of it being an oval but it is an absolute thrill to drive here. I personally see it as a mini Daytona and remember watching the DTM drive here for many years, the bumpy fast straights and slower “inner field” makes it a very variable track.
